Domingo+ is a powerhouse producer. His nearly three-decade career includes recent releases on Amulanga, Tale and Tone, and Songuara, and we were thrilled to host him along with his brother Loveclub at our All Day I Dream afterparty in July. This week, he returns to the Sky Terrace fold with an eighteenth Moonlight Mixtape that’s an aesthetic tour de force. He opens with a tale of the otherworld spoken over hypnotic bagpipes before guiding us through a landscape of moods and melody. the deep rhythms of organic house are the foundation of the hour, upon which Domingo+ illustrates a work of sonic scenery with impressive thematic range. His final product is a blend of energies suited for major movement with a few moments of mindfulness. It’s a bit of a masterclass from an educator who teaches us what we need—and it’s everything we hoped it would be.
